BOATER SAFETY CLASS
Sheriff Donald Smith announces that a Boater Safety class will be offered on May 5th, 0900 to 1700 hours @ the Bureau of Emergency Service Building, 110 Old Route 6, Carmel. You must be 10 years old to take the class. Persons who operate a personal watercraft over 14 years of age & youths between 10 and 18 years of age who operate a boat without adult supervision are required to take this class. There is no cost at the time of the class, however to obtain the certificate persons above 18 years of age mail there temporary receipt with a $10 check to the state after the class has been completed. Youths 18 years of age and under receive the certificate for free.
To register go online at Putnamsheriff.com, go to the boater safety class section and fill in the blanks for each person registering. When the registration form is completed you will receive an email response. A separate form needs to be completed for each person.

All interested parties are invited to attend and will be heard. A copy of the application materials and plans may be inspected during normal business hours at the office of the Planning Board Clerk, Town of Putnam Valley Town Hall.
On March 12, 2012, the Planning Board issued a Negative Declaration of Significance and granted Site Development Plan Approval, a Major Grading Permit and a Wetland Permit, all subject to conditions. The Site Development Plans were signed by the Planning Board Chairman on September 7, 2012. The proposed residence is now under construction and the applicant is proposing an amendment to the previously approved plans.
