If you hear a siren which sounds for a 3 to 5 minutes, you are being notified of an emergency in your area. Turn on your radio or television to an Emergency Broadcast System (EBS) station for the most timely and accurate information.

EBS messages are broadcast on WABC-AM radio (770 khz) and WABC-TV (Channel 7) and most local radio stations.
