SUPERVISOR

  About Us:

 The town supervisor is the chief executive officer and chief financial officer of the town. The exact, detailed description of the supervisor's duties and obligations in office are described and set forth in the New York State Town Law Manual. In the near future it is anticipated the NYS Association of Towns may have some description of the duties of elected officials at the municipal level of government on their website www.nytowns.org.

The supervisor's office oversees all departments working in conjunction with the Town Board (legislative branch). The supervisor officiates at special events and represents the town at other governmental meetings and conferences. The Supervisor has worked hard identifying and lobbying for grants as well as identifying other ways of improving services without creating additional tax burdens on the property owners in our town.

The supervisor's office serves the public in day to day concerns and operation of the town.

Responsible for preparation of financial reports and full accounting functions (payroll, general ledger, tax reports, auditing and interfacing with the independent auditors, etc.).
