NOTICE:

In the Town of Putnam Valley for the upcoming 2024 tax season:

  1. Please pay your taxes online if possible. You can pay by check at no cost. If you use your charge card there is a 2.5% fee which goes to the credit card company – not the Town! The website is Town of Putnam Valley.com
  2. You can pay online until April 30, 2024.
  3. Send your check or money order to us by mail at 265 Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley, NY 10579
  4. You can place your check or money order in our drop box to the right of the front door at the Town Hall Building– 265 Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley, NY 10579 – receipts will be issued upon request.
  5.  bank check or money order is acceptable.
  6. We do not have the ability to take credit cards in the Town Hall Building – you can use them online on our website @Town of Putnam Valley.com.

The Town Clerk takes the official minutes at Town Board work sessions and at the monthly Town Board meetings. The Town Clerk ensures items to be placed on the agenda for the monthly meeting are typed, printed, and distributed to Board members prior to the meeting. This official is the Public Access Information Officer and it also ensures that official records and transactions are kept accurately and secured.

If a citizen wishes to see any town records, they should contact this office to get information on how to proceed.

Her office is the record center for birth, death, marriage certificates, all contracts, district formation files, issuing of all birth, death, marriage licenses, dog licenses, hunting/fishing licenses, handicapped permits, certificates of residence and various other important town records.

This official also provides tax records, collection of taxes and has a notary in the office.
