The
Town Clerk takes the official minutes at Town Board work
sessions and at the monthly Town Board meetings. The Town
Clerk ensures items to be placed on the agenda for the
monthly meeting are typed, printed, and distributed to Board
members prior to the meeting. This official is the Public
Access Information Officer and it also ensures that official
records and transactions are kept accurately and secured.
If a citizen wishes to see any town records, they should
contact this office to get information on how to proceed.
Her office is the record center for birth, death, marriage
certificates, all contracts, district formation files,
issuing of all birth, death, marriage licenses, dog
licenses, hunting/fishing licenses, handicapped permits,
certificates of residence and
various other important town records.
This official also provides tax records, collection of
taxes and has a notary in the office.

Certificate of Residence:
Proof of residence in Putnam Valley is required - Driver's license and a piece of mail with your
mailing address that is at least six months old.
